Wanda Rose (Young) Vickerman was born on February 15th 1929 to Tom and Mary (Hansen ) Young at Titonka Iowa.
Wanda grew up on the family farm. She attended Country school and later went to High school in Titonka, graduating in 1947. She went on to Waldorf College in Forest City Iowa She graduated in 1949 and got a degree as a legal secretary. She went on to work at Weidenhoffs, now known as Snap on Tools, she also worked at Braniff Airlines in Dallas Texas. Wanda was briefly married to Claude Wilson Hudson. They had one child Thomasa Maree Hudson. They were later divorced. Wanda then worked for Christian Attorney in Albert Lea, MN. She and Thomasa moved to Minneapolis MN. On August 18th,1979.
She was united into marriage to Kenneth Vickerman of Deer River MN. They spent many years together while Kenneth Logged. They enjoyed fishing together, Wanda enjoyed doing ceramics and her church, She was a member of The Deer River United Methodist Church. Wanda was also a member of the Deer River Ladies Legion Auxiliary. Wanda also enjoyed company and visiting with whoever came to visit., she always had the coffee pot on and cake to serve.
In 2015 she entered Comstock Court Apts. In 2019 she entered The and Deer River Nursing Home. Wanda passed away on October 8th 2023 at the Deer River Nursing Home. she will be brought back to Titonka Iowa and will be buried in Buffalo Township Cemetery Beside her Dad and Mom.
Wanda was preceded in Death by Her Dad Tom Young and her Mother Mary (Hansen) Young.
Wanda is survived by her daughter Thomasa (Ron) Koch of Titonka Iowa, She is survived by her Grandchildren Roseann Koch (Jamey Lenoir) of Diamondhead MS. Levi Koch of Fort Dodge Iowa , Christine Koch (Chris Hansen ) San Diego CA She is, Survived by Two Great Grandchildren Zoey and Axl Bork of Diamondhead Ms.
She is also survived by Brother and sister in Law Gary and Joyce Vickerman of Deer River MN. Sister in Laws Bev Kluver and Marion Vickerman of Alexandria MN. Nieces and nephews form marriage
