Reverend Thomas W. Adams went home to be with the Lord December 11, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Tom was born April 9, 1939 to Fay and Nina (Burch) Adams, youngest of seven children. Attended school at Wirt and Deer River, while living in Montana Tom joined the Navy in 1955 serving two years in California and two years in Japan. In 1959 after discharge from Navy, he met Barbara Hull and they were married November 11, 1961. Tom spent most of his life living in Itasca County taking good care of his family, his wife and his home. He worked hard as an iron miner for J&L Steel, lived and worked in Pontiac Michigan for General Motors, the Ski Hills and many years as a logger, and retired for health reasons from City of Grand Rapids.
He was most proud of being ordained as a minister of the Good News Bible Church where he preached for many years, and continued to record messages for KOZY radio in Grand Rapids, even preaching at their apartment three weeks before he passed. He believed that Christ is the Son of God sent to die for the sins of the world and we can spend eternity in Heaven with him by believing this free gift alone without good works. Ephesians 2:8-9.
Preceded in death by infant son Bradley Wayne, father Fay and mother Nina, four brothers and two sisters.
Survived by wife of sixty-two years Barbara, daughters Kelli (Ed) Forsman, Kristi (Ron) Giffen, grandchildren Brice & RaeAnn Giffen, Thomas (Kayelynn), Scott Forsman, Numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Harker, St. Croix Hospice, Grand Itasca Hospital and Clinic, Good News Bible Church family, Comstock Court Family, and many family and friends.
