With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Tara Sue Munnell announces her journey to the spirit world on October 27, 2025, at the age of 34. Tara was born on May 24, 1991, and carried a bright and loving spirit throughout her life.

Tara was a proud Anishinaabekwe who walked this life with compassion, humor, and strength. She deeply valued her family and community, always willing to help others out. She loved music, animals, and spending time with her daughter and family, always bringing laughter and love wherever she went.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lorraine Marie O’Shea; maternal grandfather, Patrick O’Shea; paternal grandfather, Donald Charles “Chief” Munnell; paternal grandmother Marion Munnell; maternal aunt Joanne O’Shea; and brother, Cody Thomas Munnell. We take comfort knowing they are all together again in the spirit world.

Tara is survived by her beautiful daughter, Hope Howard, who was the light of her life; her mother, Terri O’Shea, and father, Thomas Munnell; and father of her child and special person, Michael Howard, Jr. She is also lovingly remembered by Heather Perez, Robert Holstein, Patrick Holstein, Ashley Littlewolf, and Tamara Madigan, her siblings, and many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and relatives who will continue to honor her memory.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Ball Club Hall, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Join us to honor Tara’s spirit and the love she shared with all who knew her.

Though she has left this physical world, Tara’s love remains strong in the hearts of her family, her daughter, Hope, and her community. We say Giga-waabamin, until we meet again. Miigwech, Tara, for honoring us with your beautiful spirit.
