Susan Margaret Kinsman

Susan "Susie" Margaret Kinsman, age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Susie was born on January 16, 1962, in Bloomington, MN, to Lowell and Lorraine Kinsman. She grew up in Bloomington and moved to Deer River, MN, to raise her family. Susie was a social butterfly, always laughing with others, and loved everyone wholeheartedly. Family was always her top priority, and though many lived far from her, she never failed to call and talk to them for hours. Spring and summer were her favorite seasons, and she would often be found barefoot outdoors, tending to her flowers and garden and enjoying the woodlands and a bonfire. She loved everything to do with nature and would take any chance to visit the coastline, treasuring the ocean breeze with her daughters.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents and her life partner, Gregg Makedonskey. She was survived by her four daughters, Angela (Ken) Kaley, Jennifer Tangness, Mary (Brooks) Wilson, and Michelle (Ethan) Grossell; and her grandchildren, Natalie (Dylan), Joanne, Eleanor, Madison, Lylian, and Iris; and her five siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Deer River Veterans Club beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held privately at Donnelly Cemetery in Bowstring, MN.
