Stephanie Hope (Grossman) Manning

Stephanie Hope Manning (Grossman) walked into the loving arms of Jesus Christ our Savior on February 21, 2025, at home in Bovey, Minnesota. 

Steph was born on February 12, 1962. She was the loving daughter of Frederick Stanley and Zita Maxine Grossman (Adams). She is proceeded in death by her parents, and brothers Sam, Mark and William (Billy) Grossman. She is survived by her husband Kent Manning who was so much more than a husband. Kent and Steph enjoyed traveling, embracing every adventure that crossed their path. Steph was also survived by three children, George (Autumn) Childers, Raquel (Michael) Wilson, and Olivia (Tyler) Johnson who reside in Pennsylvania, sister Wendy Slater and brothers Fritz and Andrew Grossman.

Steph was so proud of her children and made sure they knew it every day. You couldn’t hold a conversation with Steph without her expressing her sincere love and pride of her grandchildren, her greatest joy, Halle, Arabella (Bella) Childers, Liam, Riley, Daniel, Aaron Wilson, and Cooper, Daisy, and Oliver Johnson. Her famous words to her children were “I love you as BIG as the SKY!” She was happiest when all her family was around her. YELLOW was her favorite color, and that color described her personality to perfection. Steph extended happiness and was always optimistic. Her smile was like sunshine on any day. Steph could light up any room with her smile and her laughter was contagious which made everyone she was around feel loved.

She was a master of all games, loved flowers, and birdwatching. Her favorite side kick was Rowdy, her small protector. You would never leave her house hungry, which made all who entered her home feel like family. Steph was inspiring and has touched the lives of so many. 

A service will be held on Wednesday February 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene to celebrate her beautiful “yellow” life.
