Ruth was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and an amazing Friend. She was born in Chicago, Il on April 11th, 1945. As a young child she moved with her family to McHenry, IL. Ruth attended St. Johns Catholic School and met the love of her life, Richard, on the school bus. They were boyfriend and girlfriend since the 5th grade! They were married on July 10th, 1965 and together they raised four Daughters and built a beautiful life and marriage of 58 years.

In 2003, they moved to Max, MN on Little Sand Lake where they made many new friends. Ruth served on a variety of committees in her community and at the local Community Center. She was a pen pal to children at the local grade school, and she also worked in Deer River making Christmas wreaths.

Ruth loved gardening, fishing, hunting, morning cribbage games over coffee and evening boat rides with her Husband. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife that would come in the yard, especially all the beautiful birds. She was the “Queen” of picture taking and loved taking pictures of everybody and everything! She always saw the beauty in every moment. Most importantly, above anything else, Ruth loved her Family! They were always at the center of her heart and her number one priority.

Ruth was famous for her “never wanna let you go” hugs. She was an incredible woman and will forever be missed and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
