In Loving Memory of Rose Michelle Howard (“Rosa”)

Rose Michelle Howard “ Waabishki-Ma’iinganikwe”, lovingly known as Rosa, was born on January 10, 1991, and passed away in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rosa is survived by her grandparents, Linda and Russell Goggleye; her sisters, Danielle Howard and Kathleen Goggleye; her uncles, Russ “Cheech” Goggleye Jr. and Jeremy Goggleye (Danielle); and her aunt, Rachel Goggleye. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tammy Goggleye, and her maternal grandparents, Doris Mae Howard and Ernest Howard Jr, Maggie Goggleye and George Goggleye. Great Grandparents, Rose and George Lyons, Special Aunt, Lisa Schulman

Rosa was an incredibly bright and accomplished individual. She graduated as Valedictorian from Johnson Senior High School, Class of 2009, and went on to attend the University of Minnesota, where she studied Mathematics. She was also fluent in Spanish.

After returning to Cass Lake for a time, Rosa dedicated herself to helping others. She volunteered at the local food shelf and was always willing to lend a hand in her community. She had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed attending concerts. Her favorite artist was Mac Miller.

Traditional services will be held at the Inger Community Center.
