Ronald “Hank” Lego died on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, at his home in Federal Dam at the age of 68.
Ron had a quick wit, an easy laugh, and a straightforward way about him. He was a northern Minnesota guy through and through, and he liked life simple with good company, fishing and hunting,
and his cigars. He had a way of keeping people smiling without making a big fuss about it. Ron spent many years working at Lakehead, where he made lots of close friends who remained with him
until the end. He also stayed very close with many childhood friends who were like family to him. Ron will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, love of the outdoors, and the lasting impact he had on all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his mother, Karen Lego; his children, Matthew (Shiela) Lego, Nathan (Amy) Lego, Kelsey Lego (Jon Freehill), Shelby (Melichi) Four Bear, Zain Nihart (Kaylee Shepard), and Imare Myers (Carson Swanson) and his grand “babies”, Gauge Lego, Jarren Lego, Bella Lego, Selina Lego, LaRyza Four Bear, Shann Four Bear, Camden Nihart, and Ronnie Four Bear. He is also survived by his siblings, Vicki Peterson, Randy Lego, Lisa Lego, and Pete Lego, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Hank is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dawn Courtot-Lego; his father, Rusty Lego; and his sister, Lori Lego.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 25th, 2026, at the park pavilion located within the campground in Federal Dam, MN.
