Ronald Erick Boe

Ronald Erick Boe, age 58, died August 14, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth, MN. Ron was born Sept. 1, 1965, in Grand Rapids, MN, to parents George K. and Mildred (Jankovich) Boe. He grew up on the dairy farm in Remer, MN with his five siblings. Ron graduated from Northland Community School, then attended Itasca Community College for one year. He joined the US Navy in 1984 and served on the USS Pogy as a torpedoman until 1988. Upon return from the navy, he was in the navy reserve for four years. Ron completed his Associate Arts degree at ICC and his Bachelor’s Degree at Bemidji State University. He returned to Grand Rapids, MN and obtained employment at Sandstrom’s in 1995, where he has worked ever since.

Ron had three children with his former wife, Heather, while residing in Grand Rapids. Ron loved being a father, engaging in philosophical discussions, playing BAM with the guys, spending time with family, and reading. Ron’s most recent years have been spent spending time with family, immersed in Scripture, and watching his sons become young men.

Ron is preceded in death by his father George K. Boe, nephew, Brandon Green, niece Cassandra Boe, and his grandparents.

Ron is survived by his children, Lexi, Ian (Teah), and Ethan, of Grand Rapids, mother, Mildred Boe, sisters Carrie (Darrell) Anderson, Sandy (Jim) Haase, and brother Randy Boe, all of Remer, MN, Brother Terry (Paula) Boe, St. Paul, and sister Dawn (Al) Neubauer, Estero, FL, granddaughter Jordan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday 08/16/2024, at Fairview Cemetery, Remer, MN at 12:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
