age 54,

passed away October 10th in Deer River.

Born April 1st, 1966, Grand Rapids. Graduate of Grand Rapids High School and Mankato State University. Beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend.

Survived by daughter Carly Jo Onraet, parents Bruce and Lorraine Paatela, brothers Jeff (Cheryl) and Jeremy (Leanna), and sister Brenda LaBeach.

Preceded in death by husband Tim.

Tim and Rita were dedicated owners of Jessie View Resort since 1998. Rita was selfless, kind, hard-working, and enjoyed traveling and exploring new things with her daughter Carly.

The family is planning a small private service, with celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
