Reino Edwin Lyytinen died at the Bigfork Nursing Home on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the age of 79. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bigfork Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Reino was born to Arvi and Vienna Lyytinen in Deer River, MN on July 15, 1944, the youngest of 7 children. He was married to Pat (Wilcox) on June 7, 1980, and had two children, his step-son Ken and Eric. Reino dedicated his life and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1978.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Aili Jantti (Elmer), Wilho Lyytinen (Irene), Walter Lyytinen (Sandy), Elsie Erickson (Ed), Ellen Huju (Matt) and Sylvia Lyytinen.
Reino enjoyed working and spending time in the woods and on the water. He had the hope of living again on the earth, in a world free from the problems and sickness we see today. He looked forward to this promise being fulfilled - “For the days of my people will be like a tree, and the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full.” – (Isaiah 65:21,22)
