Peter Paul Pratt

Peter P. Pratt, 58, passed away peacefully from complications of COVID on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. He was born to Jerry and Kathleen Pratt on February 27, 1965 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Peter is survived by his daughter Emily Pratt; siblings Barb Pratt (Mark Lundey), Sheila McShea (Tom), Tim Pratt (Darlene), and Julie Streit (Brian).

Pete’s beloved companion Windsor is being lovingly cared for by close friends Barb Anderson, and Vicki Glander who will give Windsor a permanent home in Fargo, ND next spring.

During his younger years,  Pratter No.18, excelled on the baseball field. As a pitcher, Pratter started countless games for Apollo High School, the Waite Park Legion, and St. Cloud State University (SCSU). He also pitched for the St. Cloud Beaudreau’s amateur team, earning over 100 victories. Professionally he served as a pitching coach for SCSU and Mayville (ND) State University.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 11:00 A.M.at St. Catherine Catholic Church 52265 State Highway 46, in Squaw Lake, MN 56681. Fr. Jeremy Bock will officiate. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Please look for a social media announcement in the spring of 2024 that will include more details regarding the funeral.

The family wishes to thank the ICU staff at Essentia Health - St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN for the exceptional care, emotional support, and compassion shown to Pete and his family in his final weeks of life; and to the community of Squaw Lake for their generous support.
