Myron Lee Buffalo, Minowekamig (Good Earth)

Myron retired from Leech Lake Gaming in 2019 after more than 25 years. He worked in various positions and eventually ended up in the IT Department. He absolutely loved football. There was no talking to him on the days of football, namely the Minnesota Vikings. He was also a proud member of the A.I.M, American Indian Movement. In 1973 he was at the standoff in Wounded Knee, South Dakota and shared some of his experiences with his wife. He was not willing to share with very many people so he takes many memories The Wounded Knee standoff with him. Myron loved pow wows and his favorite Drum groups were Northern Wind, Mato Pejuta and Dakota Hotain. He was also a member/founder of the Descendants Motorcycle Organization. Myron was a handsome man and loved his family. He was quiet and didn't express his feelings and emotions easily. He was kind hearted and loved by family.

Myron is survived by his wife, Earlene Robinson Buffalo, sons, Daniel Buffalo, of Sisseton, South Dakota, Fred Buffalo, Carnegie, Oklahoma and daughters, Aubrey Mendoza of Miles City, Montana and Eva Buffalo of Eureka, California, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sister, Carol Reffke of Kaukauna Wisconsin. Stepsons, John, Jim and Eric Devault.
