Melanie Lucille Warner, age 50, of Deer River, MN was born to Richard and Vicki Warner on December 6, 1970 in Deer River, MN. She passed away November 29, 2021, at the family home in Deer River.
Melanie attended school in Deer River, graduating in 1989. Mel was well loved and busy at school. She was a member of the Knowledge Bowl and German Club when they traveled to Germany. Melanie and her brother Rick were in Odyssey of the Mind and traveled to Arizona in 1986 to compete against other schools.
Melanie attended ICC for 2 years after Graduation, where she earned a 2 year degree as a nursing assistant. She also earned her EMT certification. Melanie worked at Leisure Hills and Orion Homes as a Nursing Assistant. Mel worked at a video store and eventually became owner of "Videos To Go". Mel was also a foster mother for 17 years.
Melanie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to cook and gather everyone together. Mel also loved to travel with her friends and family as she wanted to live life to the full extent. Melanie was greatly loved and admired by everyone who knew her. She always had a smile!
Melanie was preceded in death by her father Richard Warner.
Melanie will be greatly missed by her daughter Arianna Warner; mother, Vicki Warner; sister, Tracy (Dale) Villeneuve; brothers, Rick Warner, Robert (Merrilee) Warner, Rodney Warner, Patrick Warner and Brandon Villeneuve, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews and many foster daughters and foster brothers.
A special thank you to Brenda for her friendship for driving Melanie to her Rochester Appointments. Also, a thank you to Kari for your special friendship and the daily calls.
There will be no service because of COVID, thank you to everyone who loved Melanie.
