Maxine "Max" Sandra (Humble) Norton

Maxine “Max” Sandra (Humble) Norton, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2023 with her daughter, Jody and family at her side.

Maxine was born to Roy and Dona Humble on January 4th, 1942, in Urbana, Ohio. Maxine was the second oldest daughter in a family of seven siblings. Maxine lived her life with humor, grace, and so much love. Shortly before Maxine passed away, she was asked what her greatest accomplishment was in life, her answer: her great grandchildren, Oakley and Cash. Her answer perfectly displayed the way Maxine loved with her whole heart and was selfless to a fault.

She is survived by her daughter Jody (Brad) Berkner, Granddaughter, Resa (Andy) Shermer, Grandson, Cory Lindsholm, Great Grandchildren, Oakley Shermer and Cash Shermer and many, many, beloved family and friends.

The family welcomes all whose lives Maxine has touched to join them for a memorial service on June 9th, 2023 from 2-4 pm at the Carroll Funeral Home in Deer River, MN. Immediately following the service, the family will gather at the Vet Clubs in Deer River to exchange stories and celebrate the beautiful life.
