Mary (Osufsen) Mudra died peacefully at her home on Lake Winnie on August 15th, 2022.
The daughter of Clifford and Toni, Mary was born in Deer River, Minnesota on December 1st, 1943 arriving just minutes after her twin brother, William (Bill) Osufsen. Mary graduated from Blackduck High School in 1961. She was a long-time resident of Squaw Lake, where for several years, she ran The Harbor Resort with her husband Wayne Mudra.
Mary had a big heart. She was a great cook. She especially enjoyed feeding a crowd of friends and family. Mary loved the outdoors, fishing for walleye was her favorite, but she was also happy to trade stories with you about duck, grouse, or deer hunting.
Mary will be missed by many friends and family members including her daughter and son-in-law, Alexandra (Gerdes) and John Borstad of Duluth, Minnesota, and her grandchildren Haakon (26), Berit (23), Toni (18), and Tayte (16). Stepchildren Machelle Flugum, Mary Hacker, and Matt Mudra. Her sister-in-law, Jill Osufsen, and nieces Jodi Osufsen and Andrea Turk.
