Marion grew up in Bigfork Minnesota where she resided the majority of her life. She later met Eugene F. Zasoski and they married January 3, 1949. Gene and Marion celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in 2020. Gene passed away later that year. After marrying they moved to the North Shore of Minnesota for work but shortly moved back to Bigfork. Marion worked many years at the Riverside nursing home where she worked as a nursing assistant. She also did some tree planting for the state of Minnesota and collecting eggs at the Johnson Farm.
Marion and Gene had three children, Leanna Adamson (Bigfork MN), Floyd Zasoski (Bigfork MN), Mark Zasoski (Bigfork MN). She has 8 grandchildren, Michele Rice (Arkansas), Terry Carlson (MN), Ronald Carlson (Bovey MN), Bridget Jurgansen (Bigfork MN), Jim Carlson(Pengilly MN), Archie Hofer (Hibbing MN), Chris Hofer (Bigfork MN), and Brandon Fokken. Marion also has 18 great grandchildren and many great, great grandchildren.
Marion was also well known for her love of playing in the Minnesota lottery. It was nothing for her to take many trips a day to town just to buy a scratch ticket for entertainment. One day in April 2001 she scratched off a word puzzle and had one $20,000. She was super excited. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Celebration of life will be Friday, June 18, 2021 1-4pm at their home just west out of Bigfork on co rd 14.
