The soul of Margie Kathleen Lubbers, age 97, was carried by Angels to heaven on Nov. 5, 2024. We know this fact to be true because she placed her faith in Jesus Christ to save her from sin’s penalty. The Word of God says: These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13. Margie was surrounded by her family and friends sharing memories, singing songs and praising our savior right up to her departure.
Margie Kathleen VanderBroek was born to Anthony and Martha VanderBroek on Nov 11, 1926, Margie is preceded in death by her parents Anothony and Martha VanderBroek, her brothers Bud VanderBroek, Don Vanderbroek, husband of 52 years Alroy Lubbers, her son Lyle Lubbers and son in law Bill Nyenhuis. Margie is survived by her son Roy (Anne) Lubbers, daughters Nelva Nyenhuis, Tammy (Michael) Adams. 9 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild.
Margie and her husband Roy moved from Rock Rapids, Iowa in 1970 after purchasing a resort on Big Jessie Lake in Talmoon, MN. Margie also worked in the kitchen at Bigfork Valley Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1998. She cared for her husband for a few years before he departed the world. Marge loved to read and play piano, and sing hymns, along with spending time with her family and friends.
Margie was a wonderful person with many close friends, along with her treasured church family. Firm hugs and lots of kisses was what you would expect from Margie every time you seen her. She had a very compassionate and had a thankful humble heart, giving all the praise to God.
Please join us for a memorial service on Saturday Nov. 16th visitation at 10am followed by service at 11. The service will be held at Itasca Bible Church in Grand Rapids MN.
