Margaret "Peg" Darlene (Cronkhite) Huotari

Margaret (Peg) Darlene Huotari, 85, went to meet our Lord, Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Peg was born May 18, 1939 to John and Margaret Cronkhite in Grand Rapids, MN.

Peg was raised in the West Cohasset area, graduating from Grand Rapids High School in 1957. She married Walter Huotari two weeks later in June.

Peg's faith was very important to her from her baptism at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids to her present church Deer River Redeemer Lutheran Church. We are comforted to know she is now with Christ. Peg spent most of her life in Cohasset, Deer River, and the surrounding area. She and Walt spent twenty years in Sturgis, SD enjoying the beautiful Black Hills and wildlife around them. She embraced the Sturgis Bike Rally, renting out rooms and tent space in their yard, making friends from all over the United States and several foreign countries.

Peg's life work was her family, she had a talent in the kitchen and was especially skilled at cooking wild game as anyone who graced her table would heartily agree. She will live on in the memories of her wonderful meals and her recipes she not always willingly shared.

Peg spent the last week of her life in the company of loved ones. Special thanks from her family for the home that the staff and residents of Autumn Lane provided. They are a wonderful group and Mom enjoyed her time there.

She is survived by children Walter(Bobbie), Sherry(Morris) Beighley, Wade(Deb), Willie(Heather) Grandchildren Matt(Tammy), Sarah(Chris), Luke(Tara), Jake(Danielle), Adam(Heather), Mary(Jake) Great grandchildren Meara(Nick), Merica, Davian, Brayden, Aubri, Owen, Myla, Ace, Tatum, Sophie, Brandt, Harper, Brooklynne, Cambri, Liv, Beau, and Dekker Great great granddaughter Kaniyah Bonus grandchildren Kim(Ramey), Michelle, Jesse Bonus great grandson Travis Brother Ralph (Lisa) Cronkhite Sisters Donna Flug and Marnie Carr In-laws Leroy(Lucille) Huotari, Duane (Ethel) Huotari, Dennis(Cecelia) Huotari, and Kathy Huotari

Preceded in death by Husband, Walter Huotari, Grandson, Evan Huotari, Parents, John and Margaret Cronkhite, and Brother, Jackie Cronkhite In-laws Tom and Alice Huotari, Carolyn and Bob Gouldin, Diane and Jim Sweeney, Doug Huotari, and Allen Flug

Visitation will be December 14 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Deer River at 10 am followed by the service at 11 am. Burial at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Deer River, MN
