Lucille "Butchie" White Obituary

Lucille “Butchie” White age 82 of Ball Club, MN passed away at deer River hospital on Tuesday April 2nd, 2024 after a brave and courageous battle with numerous chronic illnesses.

Lucille was born to Andrew Gotchie and Mary Reynolds on November 13th, 1941 in Cass Lake, MN. She was the youngest of 11 children.

Lucille was married to her husband Joe White for 64 years.

Lucille is survived by her husband Joe, sons Mike and Pat of Ball Club, MN and daughter Tammy White (Johnny Mac) of Bemidji, MN.

Lucille is proceeded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, one son Randy White, one daughter Joannie White, grandchildren Erin, Jonathan, Jamie, Nicole, and special friend Nellie Gotchie.

Lucille worked for Leech Lake Elder Nutrition program in the Leech Lake Operation Mainstream for several years. She also cooked for the yearly for the Mii Gwitch Mahnomen Days Powwow. She would always helping her large family as well as community members with everything also.

Her hobby's is included Princess Pine Wreath, doing word searches, going to the casino, making Birch Bark items, sewing quilts and regalia. She enjoyed taking her daily “nosey ride” around Ball Club and area. She would like attending community events with her best friend Nellie Gotchie around Ball Club and area. She was known as the first Ball Club taxi cab.

Some of her favorite food included ham hock soup, potato salad, Kentucky fried Chicken just to name a few.

Lucille was blessed with at least 33 + grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; Gary, Frankie Jo, Taylor, Brian, Damien, Taelyn, Ryan, Hayden, Denaja, David, Tyrone, Stephanie, Samantha, Dion, Jesse, Amira, Locke, Lucy, Billy Bob, Grace, Harvey IIII, Jaden, Theodore, Emerson, Jordan, Eli, Chucky, Aryana, Chaskay, Aianna, Stephanie, Lilly, Lexie, plus more.

Lucille was a very special person and touched the heart of many with her very special ways. She will truly be missed by all who knew her and we will treasure our memories with her forever.

An overnight wake and visitation will start on Monday, April, 8th, 2024 at 5:00 PM followed by the Funeral on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ball Club Community Center in Ball Club, MN. Pastor Don Velo will conduct the services and Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Ball Club, MN.
