Lonnie David Kacon

Lonnie David Kacon, age 66, died at his home on July 18th, 2022 in Grand Rapids Minnesota.

Lonnie was born at Bigfork Hospital on November 3, 1955 to Stanley and Hilda Kacon. He was the oldest of two sons. Lonnie attended Bigfork School and graduated in 1974. He spent most of his life in Bigfork. He married Betina Freeberg June 12, 1989 and they had a daughter and a son. Their married later dissolved. He was an avid reader from a young age and loved baseball. He enjoyed grouse hunting and working on cars in his younger days. He was a truck driver, a logger and served his community as mayor for two terms. He retired from logging at a young age after being diagnosed with Parkinsons disease. After he sold his logging business, you could find him playing card games with his children, tending to the lawn, shining and reorganizing his tools, or trimming every tree in the yard as high as he could reach. When the Twins weren’t playing, he was watching the History channel.

He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Hilda Kacon.

He is survived by brother Loren (Glenda), daughter Rachel (Jeff), son Jarred and grandson Morgan.

Lonnie’s wishes were not to have service.
