LaRue "Lou" (Vail) Hocking

LaRue Hocking age 94 of Bigfork MN passed away on one June 26,2022 in Bigfork at Aspen Circle.

LaRue “Lou” was born April 6, 1928, in Bigfork to Fred and Frances Vail. She was the youngest of seven children. After graduating from Bigfork High School in 1946 she meet and married Lyle (Butch) Hocking. They lived in Bigfork for the 74 years of their marriage. They raised 3 children, traveled, ran a canoe rental business, camped, fished, and enjoyed life in general.

LaRue is survived by husband, Butch, daughter Mary (Dell), Nanette (Jef), six Grandchildren…Erica (Troy), Courtni (Patrick), Travis (Andrea), Ashley, Rush, and Ethan (Samantha). Seven great grandchildren…Tanner, Madison, Jackson, Paige, Manny, Tripp, and Edwin.

Preceded in death by her parents, one son James, and all of her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be at the Bigfork Presbyterian Church in Bigfork at 1:00 with service to follow at 2:00. Burial will be at Bigfork Cemetery at a later date.
