John Carl Hallich

John Carl Hallich, 85, Deer River passed away on April11,2026.

John was born on September 3,1940, in Minneapolis Minnesota he preceded by his father Oscar Hallich and his mother Irene Hallich, brothers Jim, Gary, and his son Scott Hallich. He is survived by his sister Della Hallich, his son Shawn Hallich, daughter in-law Betsy Hallch, grandchildren Tiffany Hallich, Shawn Hallich Jr. , son Aaron Hallich, daughter Kylene Hight, son In-law Robert Hight, grandchildren Kiley Gallagher, Robert Hight, Abigail Hight, and Elijah Hight.

John joined the Navy at the age of 17 after completing his service he became a Draftsman. After the passing of his father Oscar, his mother Irene purchased the Tam-O’Shanter resort which John helped manage for several years. John was an avid sportsman who loved to fish and hunt.

A private service to be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date this Summer.
