Jacob "Jake" Irvin Sweedman

Jacob (Jake) Irvin Sweedman, 81, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026 surrounded by family. He was born in Deer River, Mn to Nathaniel and Mae Sweedman on August 10, 1944.

Jake is survived by daughters; Michelle (Justin) Hill, Lesley Vezina, son; Mark (Wendy) Sweedman. Grandchildren; TJ (Twyla) Sweedman, Jordan (Adam) Wooster, Gabe (Savannah) Vezina, Anthony (Hannah) Sweedman, Vincent Sweedman, Ben Vezina, Reese Vezina, Greg Vezina Jr., Alliandra Vezina, Axel Vezina, Grace Vezina and Kayleigh Vezina. Great-Grandchildren; Aria, Atlas, Arden, Declan, Nolan, Gabe Jr., Rhyland, Leilani, Oziah, and Skylar. Sister; Judy LaTrace.

Jake is preceded in death by his wife Arlene Sweedman, infant son Tony Sweedman, parents Nathaniel and Mae Sweedman, son-in-law Gregory Vezina, grandson Dakota Vezina, brothers Jim, Bill, and Pat Sweedman.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 10:00 am, with a service to follow at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Bigfork, Mn.

Jake will be laid to rest next to his wife Arlene at the Bigfork Cemetery
