Henrietta Maxine (Dahl) Finn

Henrietta Maxine Finn was born on December 1, 1936 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Henrie as she liked to be called, passed on Tuesday, June 8 with her daughter Terri by her side.

Henrie, the "Bell of the Ball", the "Life of the Party", spent her entire career as a para-professional with the Cass Lake and Bena Elementary Schools. She truly enjoyed assisting teachers; Ms. Isaacson, Mr. Littler, Ms. Nelson and Ms. Hegland to name a few. Not only spending countless hours with students practicing spelling tests and math timings, but making sure the students had their hair combed and smile on their face for picture day, or had their hands and face covered with outer gear for winter recess. As if she didn't spend enough time with the kids during the day, she also rode with them on the Bena bus to and from school every day. Henrie retired on June 1, 2000 after serving 31 years of service with the school district.

In 1956, Ronald James Finn rode to Bena on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, took one look at Henrietta Maxine and the rest is history. On February 16, 1957, they were married in the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bena. Henrie and Ronny were inseparable and enjoyed 55 years together in marriage. Henrie also loved her home town of Bena. She organized and volunteered with many organizations and committees, including the Bena Garden Club, Bena Cub Scouts and the Bena Funeral Committee. Henrie and Penny Stangel would call around Bena to ask people to make cakes, sandwiches and hot dishes whenever a family lost a loved one. They always made sure there was plenty of delicious food to share.

The Matriarch of the Finn Family, the Rock of Bena has left us! She will truly be missed!!

Great Grandchildren Jacob, Garrett, Owen, Jaden, Raven, Micah, Terick, Taryn, Kellen, Tate, Cecilia, Sicily, Journi, Anayah,  Avery,  Adidas, Scotty, Adrian, Kallea, Tailynn, Marky, Mason, Trey, Piper, Gracie, Jameson P., Aiyana, Nina, Ayasha & Jameson R.  Great-Great Grandchild Arabella Louella Seelye.  Friends for life Penny Stangel & Helen Mae Tibbetts.
