Helen Mae Tibbetts

**Helen Mae Tibbetts** Age 79, of Bena, Minnesota, passed away on September 24th, 2025. Helen was a beloved caring soul, known for her big heart and vibrant spirit. A true little spitfire in her tight jeans and big purse, she loved to show her friends and family that age was just a number. Helen cherished caring for all people, from her lifelong devotion to her parents—whom she cared for until their passing—to her deep love for her dog, Brandy.

A proud Minnesota Twins fan, Helen’s enthusiasm for baseball was infectious, and she loved sharing her passion with everyone she knew, as her house decor showed. Helen was a lifetime devoted Catholic.

She spent many memorable years with William Tucker until his passing, a testament to her capacity for love and commitment.

Helen leaves behind her daughter, Michaele (Stephen) Tibbetts-Charnley; special nieces, Sherri (Jon) Finn and Sophia Finn; her pride and joy, nephew Brett Allen Finn; and surviving sister, Diana Stangel. She joins her parents, Sonny (Wayne) and Tootie (Claire) Tibbetts, brothers Allen and Mike, and sister Mary Ann Tibbetts. Helen loved all her nieces, nephews, greats and great greats.

Her life was filled with close friendships, including her best friends Carol "Penny" Stangel, Sr Rose Messingschlager, C.D.P, Nancy Caverly & Henrietta Finn. Helen’s memory will live on through those she loved and who loved her. There were never enough brownies/cakes and coffee for her visitors. ---
