Gary Lee Rose

Gary Lee Rose, 62, of Deer River, MN, passed away in the early morning hours on October 19th, 2022 , after a summer of health issues and undergoing surgery on Sept 6,2022, for an aggressive brain tumor. 

Gary was born to Norman and M. Lee (Young) Rose on August 2, 1960 in Lincoln NE.

Gary had a love of cooking and baking ,best known for his carrot cakes and cream puffs. Gary took pride in sharing these and the other delicious items from his kitchen with his family and friends. When he wasn’t in the kitchen you could find him outdoors, fishing, hunting, riding his 4 wheeler with his buds, and working in his flowerbeds. Gary loved life!!

Gary is survived by his son, Nigel Rose, his partner of 15 yrs, Cheryl Graber Braford, his sister Nancy Rose, his brother Mark Rose, his step mother Bev Rose, his ex wife Christine Rose, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death were his parents, Norman Rose, M Lee Rose and brother Scott Rose.

As per Gary’s request, there will be no funeral but instead there will be a celebration of life at a later time.
