Dorothy Alice (Bixby) Jerry

Dorothy A. (Bixby) Jerry, 75, Deer River, MN passed away peacefully as the spirits had accepted their gift on September 14, 2021 at Garden Court Chateau in Grand Rapids, MN.

Dorothy was born March 28, 1946 in Deer River where she laughed and played with her siblings as well as many of the country kids that she had lasting lifelong relationships with. She graduated from Deer River High School in 1965. Dorothy was united in marriage to Junior Jerry in 1966. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She enjoyed square dancing, toe-tapping music, and found solace in the outdoors.

Preceded in death by Husband Llewellyn C. Jerry Jr. parents Orval & Loretta Bixby, siblings Delores B. Nolan, Wilhemena D. Bixby, Betty L. Shotley, Timothy L. Bixby, Jay O. Bixby, Nancy G, Kinn, Marion “Bunky” Bixby, Anthony L. Bixby, Gerald W. Bixby, George W. Bixby, and son-in-law Dave A. Alzen.

Survived by her daughter Roberta Alzen, her cherished grandchildren Nate and Tamar Alzen, grandson in heart Ty Spaulding, 35 nieces & nephews, numerous great nieces & nephews which she considered her bundles of joy.

Dorothy reminds us: those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.
