History: Dennis was born to Hannah and Edwin Johnson in Minneapolis on November 24, 1933. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Infantry in July 1953, after basic training he deployed to Korea where he served honorably until his discharge in 1956. Kathryn Wall and Dennis were married on November 22, 1956, and together they had 5 children. They started their life together in Tower, MN eventually moving to Minneapolis where he worked for American Hoist for most of his career. He retired from the University of Minnesota in 1995. Upon retirement, they moved to their home on Little Dead Horse Lake in Suomi Township, MN. They spent many happy years together. Dennis enjoyed working in his woodshop, gardening and taking care of their property. He really enjoyed not living in the city!
The family would like to thank all the friends and family that took the time to visit and call Dennis as he spent the last two years of his life at River Grand Senior Living in Grand Rapids, Mn. We are especially appreciative of the excellent care he received from the staff and the many friends he made at River Grand.
