Dennis Andrew Jacobson Sr.

Dennis Andrew Jacobson Sr. of Deer River, MN passed away on May 5th, 2024 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN at the age of 86. Born to Theodore and Marie (Toffle) Jacobson on September 27th, 1937 in Remer, MN. Dennis was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Boy River, MN.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, granddaughter and many other loved ones.

Dennis survived by his wife, Marcia (Cole) Jacobson; his sons Dennis Jr. and David Jacobson; his sister and brother in law Joyce and Larry Adams; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Dennis moved to Washington when he was a young child. He then moved back to Deer River on Vermillion Lake a few years later and grew up there. Dennis married Marcia Belle Cole on July 1st, 1961. Dennis was in the logging business until his accident in 1976. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, taking walks and traveling. Dennis loved his pets very much. He will be dearly missed by all of his loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Jacobson home on June 17th, 2024 at 2 p.m. The address is 7865 County Road 65 Northeast, Deer River, MN. Family and friends are more than welcome to come celebrate Dennis's life with us.
