Dean Charles Radtke

Dean Charles Radtke of Deer River, MN; loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Essentia Health Hospital, in Deer River, MN at the age of 85. He was born in Waseca, MN on November 20, 1938 to Carl and Gladys (Rocek) Radtke. Dean graduated from the Waldorf High school. He served in the US Marines from June 1956 to June 1962. He married Mary Lou Dyeann Bartelt on April 18, 1960 at Zoar United Church of Christ in Waldorf, MN. Dean attended Mankato Vocational and completed his apprenticeship in 1970 as a sheet metal worker. Dean worked for Albert Lea Mechanical until retiring in 1997.

Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his entire lifetime. He will be missed by those who knew him.

Dean is survived by his son and wife Ronald and Jennifer (Blachowske) Radtke of Bena, MN; and daughter and husband Ronda (Radtke) and Thomas Staloch of Murfreesboro, TN and grandchildren Zeke and Kiah (Bizal) Staloch of Detroit Lakes, MN; Alexander Staloch of Murfreesboro, TN; and Samuel Staloch of Chicago, IL; brother Philip (and Ginny) Radtke of Bloomigton, MN; and sister Margaret Ewert of Mankato, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Radtke; son Ricky Ronald Radtke; parents Carl and Gladys Rocek and Carl and Marie Bleck; brother Donald Radtke; and sisters Marian Degner and Fanchon Ellwood.

Dean will be buried in the Alden, MN cemetery.
