History:

David graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1979 and AVTI in Detroit Lakes in 1981 with a Construction Degree. While attending AVTI in Detroit Lakes he met Donna, the love of his life. They got married in 1982 at Rush Lake, MN. His loves, besides his family, were being in the woods, cutting firewood, and stock car racing in Grand Rapids and Bemidji. He was an avid hunter, exceptionally talented craftsman, outdoorsman, natural mechanic, and fan of NASCAR.

David was an entrepreneurial talent who started D&D Construction with his father Art and worked with Elmo Crowe & Sons Construction, Rajala Lumber, and as a millwright at Blandin Paper Co. He also served on the Itasca County Sheriff Posse.

David’s family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Mumsi for her years of guidance and caregiving. To Matthew for his 20+ years of dedicated and devoted service. To Missy, Jesse, and Elijah and the medical teams at Miller Dawn and Deer River for all of their expert attention and care over the years.
