David G. Adams, age 70, died April 1st, 2021 at Sanford Health Hospital in Bemidji, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Mr. Adams is survived by two children, (his twins) Sean Adams of Bemidji and Shyla Adams (Alan) Barrett of Bemidji. He also leaves behind many grandchildren along with brothers and sisters.
He is preceded in death by his parents two brothers George and Peter Adams and two nieces Brandy and Nacia.
David is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Cross of Gallantry along with others. He grew up in Wirt, MN, the oldest son of Ulysses (Grant) Adams and Lollita Ellsworth Adams. David enjoyed golfing, hunting and anything outdoors with family or friends. Later on in life as his disease progressed, he became less active in outside activities and became interested in drawing and writing along with art.
He loved spending as much time as he could with all his grandkids and could talk anyone's ear off, and make any situation seem “not so bad”. David was a kind soul. If he could help you, he would. Friends and Family everywhere can attest to that. He couldn’t go anywhere without his dog Roxie who he leaves behind and she will dearly miss him.
Services will be held July 24th,2021 in Wirt,MN.
Cremation Services were provided by Carroll Funeral Home of Deer River, MN.
