Cy Voigt

Cy Voigt, 67, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2021 at his sister's home in Menahga, MN.

Cy was born in Virginia, MN on December 10, 1953.

He is survived by his sister, Faith Olson; brother Gary Pajuoja; and brother Jay (Toni) Pajuoja; many nieces and nephews as well as many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian Pajuoja; his brother-in-law Rodger Olson; sister-in-law Kay Pajuoja; and nephew Gary Lee Pajuoja.

Cy graduated from Cloquet High School and continued to live in Cloquet and Carlton for many years, eventually moving to Deer River. He spent time in the submarine service with the US Navy and was employed in mill work and carpentry. His passion was carpentry and art. He loved woodworking, portrait and still life painting, picking the guitar, playing cribbage with his brothers and always having a boiling hot cup of coffee in his hand.

Funeral services will be performed at Carroll Funeral Home in Deer River, MN on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Deer River, MN. A luncheon will follow at the Deer River VFW.
