Cody Ronald Stangland

Cody Ronald Stangland age 38 of Bowstring, MN lost his short battle with cancer on September 15,2020.

Cody is survived by his Fiancé; Lisa Marie Phillipp, Son; Domanic Stangland, step-sons Cole Francisco & Michael Waller. Father; Ronald (Terrie) Stangland, Mother; Terrie Torkelson, brother; Casey Stangland, Sister; Mindy (Chad) Stangland and their children Hunter, Jasmine & Russel., His closest friends Justin Meyer, Joe Dobson, Orion Nason (Kelly) and many kids he cared for like his own.

He was preceded in death by his Grand Parents Edmund and Kathryn (Dolly) Stangland, Uncle Steven Stangland, Grand Parents Marlin and Grace Torkelson and Aunt Sue Torkelson.

Cody was a man of many trades and skills, some of which included logging the woods with all the big toys, working on heavy machinery at the scrap yard and of course cutting boughs every winter with his kids and friends. Cody had a huge heart and loved to help any and every one he could, even if it was a stranger on the road in the rain. His love for the outdoors was embedded deep within his soul from fishing every lake he could or riding “psycho” hundreds of miles on trails and hunting everything he could to feed his family. Cody was a strong provider, wonderful father and dedicated friend. He was a truly loved man by many. To say he will be missed is an understatement!

Family Service will be at 11:00am then a public memorial of remembrance will be held on October 17th, 2020 at the Bowstring Town Hall from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
