Cliff was born to Jim and Evelyn Storlie on June 8, 1934. He was 1 of 5 children. Clarice (Dale) Olson, Darlene (Lyle) Thompson, Bud (Joan) Storlie, Dickie (Sharon) Storlie, Gladys ( Gene) DeYoung. Cliff graduated from DR High School and worked as a mechanic for the Ford garage (Shermans) in Deer River. He started working around 16 years of age to about 40 years of age. Cliff was well known by all for his knowledge on fixing vehicles. In 1976 Bill Bemis asked Cliff and Donna to moved to Fairbanks, Alaska to work for him. Cliff was a heavy duty equipment mechanic for 15 years there. They moved back to Deer River in 1990. Cliff enjoyed camping with family, fishing with John, Terry & Grandchildren, riding side by side and just being in the woods. Being with family and friends was important, and he loved talking about experiences in Alaska and about cars. Cliff married Donna Evans in 1953. They were married for 70 years.

He is survived by wife Donna Storlie. 3 sons, John (Peggy )Storlie DR, MN Terry (Karen) Storlie DR, MN, David Storlie Fairbanks, Alaska. 1 daughter, Chris(Alan) Martin Denmark, WI. 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.

Cliff is preceded in death by his parents and son Steve Storlie, granddaughter Jeannie Storlie, and daughter-in-law Nancy Storlie.

The family of Cliff would like to thank Maple Woods Assisted Living, Lakewood Center in Staples MN, Diamond Willow Memory Care , and St. Croix Hospice for the care that was given to Cliff during his stay there. Funeral service will be at Carroll Funeral Home Deer River. Visitation 1-2:00 with service following at 2:00. Dad will be missed by all.
