Charley Eugene Dagenais, age 93, earned his wings and went to be with our Lord and Savior on 5-8-2021.
He was born to Louis and Mary Dagenais on 4-1-1928, in Deer River Mn. He attended school in Deer River and in his early years, served in the Army and is a World War II Veteran. He married Darlene Sprague on Oct. 20, 1952. They had seven children and moved to Chicago several times where he worked at a large hardware chain. Later he worked in the mines on the Iron Range. He and Darlene attended Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cohasset for over 30 years. He enjoyed walking, carnivals, parades, and trains. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Survived by: Sisters Gloria Mainville Bemidji, and Dee Dee. Sons: Charley Dagenais Jr. Washington, Bradley (Cindy) Dagenais Dakota. Daughters: Michele (Brian) Carlson Grand Rapids, Evelyn (Tony) Knight Grand Rapids, Joyce (Travis) Perrington Deer River. Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Preceded by: Mother and Father Louis and Mary Dagenais. Wife Darlene. Brothers: Vernon Dagenais, Paul Dagenais, Bud Dagenais and Albert Dagenais. Sisters: Evelyn Kowalokowski, and Rosemary Tubbs. Sons: Terry Dagenais and William (Billy) Dagenais. Grandchildren: William Dagenais Jr., James Dagenais, and Great Grandchild Mikayla Garrison.
Service: There will be a private family service and burial in June at Olivet Cemetery.
