Charles F. Johnson

Charles F. Johnson, age 74 of Deer River, MN passed away Tuesday, November 1st.

Charles (Chucky) was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 10th,1948.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Roxann (Jensen) Johnson, his daughter Kristine (Jamie) Johnson, sons Tim (Lori) Wasut, Tom (Laurie) Wasut, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Chucky was a proud veteran. He served in the U.S Army from 1966-1969. He served one tour in Vietnam on a tank crew. He worked at USWEST as a lineman for 30 years in Minneapolis, retired in 2000 and then moved to Deer River, MN. While living in Deer River Chucky was a lifetime VFW and DAV member.

He spent his retirement years doing what he loved, fishing, hunting and watching Fox News.

Celebration of life will be held on November 19, 2022 at the VFW Post 1720 in Grand Rapids, MN from 1-4pm, Color Guard ceremony at 1:30pm. VFW Post 1720 14 NW 3rd St. Grand Rapids, MN 55744

Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, November 25 2022 10:15 A.M.
