Carol Lea Radunz passed away in Deer River on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Carol was born April 15, 1947, in Grand Rapids, MN. to Harry and Arleen Howe. She grew up on King Lake, in Balsam Township, enjoying the outdoors, the lake, and all the wildlife the property provided. She met her husband,Roger, of 58 years, at her family’s resort on King Lake while his family was vacationing there. They eloped in Jacksonville, Florida in 1966. After Roger was released from service in the U.S. Navy, they moved back to MN and had one son, Michael, in 1972. They made a handful of moves across Minnesota, from Waconia to Lake Stella by Litchfield, where Carol worked as a dedicated bookkeeper for many businesses.
After their work life, Carol and Roger retired on King Lake in 2004 where she enjoyed lake life with her 3 grandchildren Mackenna (25), Abigail (23), and Alaina (17). Carol enjoyed cooking, baking, her flower gardens, art and music. She loved campfires, family dogs, and looking for four-leaf clovers while walking in the woods. She truly loved her family most of all.
Carol is survived by her husband Roger, son and daughter in-law Michael and Jill, and granddaughters, Mackenna, Abigail, and Alaina. No services are held at this time.
