Bernard "BJ" Jon Robinson

Bernard Jon Robinson (BJ) of Inger, Minnesota passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at home. Bernard was born on March 16th, 1983 in Cass Lake, Minnesota, the son of Bernard and Dorothy Robinson of Inger.

BJ attended Deer River Schools, and he returned to ABE classes and got his General Equivalency Diploma. He took pride in going back to get his GED, and although writing on computer came easy, handwriting was hard but his topic “Who is your hero?’ helped him pass this test. He wrote about his hero, his Grampa Thomas. BJ worked for the Leech Lake at Facilities Maintenance and the Leech Lake Gaming at the Northern Lights Casino. He loved working at the casino. He later became a stay-at-home Dad and helped care for his son, Ronald who he was very proud of.

Survived by son, Ronald Robinson-Wakanabo, Parents Bernard and Dorothy Robinson, brother Victor Robinson Sr and his wife Tana, sisters Bernie and Becky Mitchell, Stephanie Jackson, Ronald’s mother Beth Wakanabo, goddaughter Jasmine Cloud and many nephews, nieces, and family members. And his close buddies Dave Cloud, Pat Fairbanks, Dave Morgan, Chris Wakanabo.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Stella Howard, Laura Robinson and Bernie Smith, Uncles Terry Robinson, Mike Howard, Greg Howard and Robert Howard and other close family members.

Helping lay BJ to rest are: Patrick Fairbanks, Dave Cloud, Mark Jackson, Christopher Wakanabo, Jerome Wakanabo, Dale Robinson, Dale Burnette, James Howard Jr., Eric DeVault, James White Honorary Pallbearers are all of BJ’s family and friends.

Services are: Wake on Tuesday Evening, August 16, 2022 and Funeral at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 with Allen Hardy officiating at the Inger Community Center. Burial will be at the Inger Cemetery.
