Barbara Jean (Johnson) Weese

Barbara Jean (Johnson) Weese, age 60, passed away on April 26th at her home in Deer River.

Barbara was born in Rochester, MN on April 27th, 1963 to Frank “Pierr” and Marjorie “Jean” Johnson. She grew up in St. Charles, Illinois, where she later met Rhett Weese. Rhett and Barb married on November 29th, 1986. They eventually moved to Deer River, Minnesota, where they raised their daughters, Anne and Karyn. Barb was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and recently earned the title of grandmother. Anyone who knew Barb was very lucky. She was compassionate, loving, and had a great sense of humor. She had a love for cooking, art/entertainment, and making everyone around her happy; she knew how to light up a room. Being a mother was Barb’s greatest joy in life.

Barb is proceeded in death by her parents, Frank “Pierr” and Marjorie “Jean” Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Rhett Weese; Daughters, Anne (Quinn) Waldvogel and Karyn Weese; Grandson Hudson Waldvogel; her siblings, Frank “Pierr” Johnson, Ann Johnson, Becky Bolda, Karl Johnson, and Ken Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held by family at a later date.
