Antoinette "Nettie" Amelia (Koskovich) Hager

Nettie Hager, 89, of Deer River, Minnesota, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

Nettie was born March 11, 1934 in Crookston, MN to Emil and Catherine Koskovich. She graduated high school from Bagley High School in1952. She married Paul Hager in 1953 in Bagley, MN. They moved to Virginia, MN for a few years before moving to Superior, WI.

Nettie was a stay at home mother raising her five children until they moved to their forever home in Deer River, MN in 1975. Nettie and her husband owned the Red Owl grocery store in Deer River, MN for 26 years. Nettie retired in 2000.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 13 siblings and her husband of 59 years Paul Hager.

Survived by her children Stan (Dawn) Hager, Becky (Tim) Latvala, David Hager, Mike Hager and Danny Hager, 12 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, July 21, 2023 5-7 P.M. Carroll Funeral Home Deer River, MN & one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: Saturday, July 22, 2023 11:00 A.M. St. Mary's Catholic Church, Deer River, MN officiated by Father KK.
