Andrew "Wolfy" James Bixby

Andrew James Bixby, affectionately known as "Wolfy," age 24, of Deer River, Minnesota, passed away on October 1, 2025.

He was born on October 28, 2000, in Cut Bank, Montana, to Julie Rahier (Bixby). Andrew graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 2019.

Andrew had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished time spent fishing, hunting, and being with his friends and family. He especially adored every moment with his nieces and nephew. Those who knew Andrew recognized his wild spirit and his heart of gold. Whether playing with his young relatives or caring for stray animals, he was always quick to show love and compassion to those around him.

Andrew is survived by his girlfriend, Becky Cusey; his mother, Julie Rahier; his grandparents, Brenda Bixby and Michael Bixby; his sisters, Amber Johnston and Deirdre Jorgenson (Alexander Jorgenson); and his nieces and nephews, Michael Hoopman, Mckayla Bixby, and Charlotte Jorgenson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Rahier; his great aunt and uncle, Monica Klien and Joe Sheffield; and his cousin, Michael Bixby.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, at Grace Gospel Church in Taconite, Minnesota, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral and memorial services will follow from 11:00 a.m. to noon, officiated by Lance Edminster. A luncheon will be served following the service.
