Linda Wilson Obituary

Linda Lee Wilson, 73, was born on August 27, 1950, in Cass Lake to Veronica Jane and Harvey Jackson. Linda began her journey on April 14th, 2024, from St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. Linda is greeted by her parents and infant brother George Gotchie. Linda is survived by her husband Burton (Luke) Wilson, siblings Donald and Carol, nine children (Melissa, Burton Jr. [Bre], Toddie Sr. [Kahla], Joshua [Tara], Keith [Michelle], Charles, Karen, Terrance, and Sarina [Dan]), grandchildren (Kayla, Danny, Justin, Malakai, Kyleigh, Lucas, Micah, Veronica, Cheyenne, Joshua Jr., Toddie Jr., Akira, Ariella) great-grandchildren, and cherished family and friends.

In her early years, Linda worked as a circuit board inspector at the Bureau of Engineering in Minneapolis, before transitioning into a full-time foster mom in 1990. She gave love to all her foster kids, whom she treated as if they were her own. This was a testament to Linda’s generosity. She retired from foster care in 2022. After retiring, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who had a profound love for her.

Linda had a passion for traveling particularly journeying westward to behold the beauty of Yellowstone and the mountains. She also enjoyed excessive garage sales, finding bargains for her loved ones, and immersing herself in a game of bingo every now and then. Nevertheless, Linda was best known for her bubbly personality, her contagious laugh, and her graceful spirit. Her spark resonated with anyone fortunate enough to know her. Linda’s presence changed the world as we know it and as she waits patiently for us all to meet her again one day.

Special recognition for her friends Reta Skog, Barbara (Barb) Bebeau, and Lucille (Butchie) White, who all welcome Linda to the spirit world.
